Mentor Blog 2

For my mentor blog in chose Artof360waves. They blog about 360 waves, and by far the best blog I have seen so far. It could be because I enjoy the topic. They have the blog hooked to a hair accessories sale wed sight. The author show’s a huge detailed picture of his 360 waves. I feel that is so important to attract people’s eyes in a blog. If you are scrolling down your blog timeline and see just words, you’re more likely to pass then if it has a picture of or describing the topic. There first blog was titled “Our Natural 360 Wave Shampoo Conditioner vs Regular Shampoos”. They talk about how non-natural products and what you should look for in a shampoo and conditioner. They also talk about their natural shampoos and conditioners that’s also looked to the blog website. It states “Promotes hair growth by naturally stimulating the hair follicles. Infuses natural oils into hair follicles to help maintain moisture, shine and overall condition. Our formula contains natural ingredients, so it is a non-allergenic product which makes it suitable for all skin types, including allergy prone skin and especially sensitive skin. Our shampoo conditioner is completely bio-degradable, no harsh chemicals at all.” These are all things that promote healthy hair. I haven’t tried this before but with those ingredients must create results, so I recommit trying it. This is great for the blog. I never thought someone could get so creative with a blog.

I do like the blog, but I don’t agree with everything he talks about. Like in another of their blogs called “Establishing a Brushing and Washing Regime”. I do feel this is very important but how they do it isn’t how I do mine. Its similar but not. The author states “There are a few steps that you will need to add to your 360 waves regiment. Begin by, washing your hair with 2-in-1 Shampoo Conditioner and make sure it your hair is thoroughly clean and dry before you put any 360-wave cream in it.” I disagree because I do a method called the ‘Wash and Style” created by Poppy Blasted. He is a veteran YouTube waver that has proven methods. They also state “We aren’t suggesting that you shampoo your hair daily. In fact, we recommend that you don’t wash your hair with shampoo for 1-2 weeks while the 360-wave pattern settles in.” This is true if you are a beginning waver you will wash out your progress. After you finish your first wolfing cycle that won’t happen because your hair will be trained. They then state “Once you have rinsed off the Shampoo Conditioner, then you’re going to apply 360 wave cream, only use a quarter size amount.” I brush the shampoo and conditioner in then put a durag on to hold it in place. I then rinse out the shampoo and conditioner with my durag on. After my hair and the durag is dry I then apply my moisturizer. The author also talks about remembering to work the wave cream evenly on the crown, back and sides with a firm brush.  Always begin on the crown, then the back and brush the sides diagonally. Lastly they state “Don’t brush against the grain. Lastly, tie your hair down with a durag. Repeat this process 1-2 times a day”. I don’t agree with this though. I feel it takes more to get those results. If you don’t do this four to five time a day you won’t see progress as soon as you would like. In conclusion, I feel this is a great blog. In don’t agree with everything that they say but it is valid information. I might take their method of selling my merchandise on my blog.
