The 360 Wave Process and The Life & Lessons of A Waver Pt.2

These products are important because it makes sure you are maintaining healthy and moisturized hair. The fifth and sixth step is getting a silky durag and getting a soft, medium, and hard brush. There are three different basic hair textures. Course hair that most black people have, medium hair texture that most mixed people have and third is straight hair that most white people have. With un-natural hair products, all hair textures at risk of being damaged and falling out. I personally feel that’s why a lot of people, there hair will thinning and or go bold (men and woman). Sometimes it could be genetic but a lot of the time its due to do washing or washing with products that will kill your hair. I never moisturized my hair before because I just didn’t see the importance until, I became a waver. Whatever hair texture you have it is important to maintain healthy hair.

The last step is getting your hair cut from a trusty barber and then it’s time to truly start your 360-wave process. I have gotten my hair cut by barbers and he cut my how he wanted. I asked for a 2 with the grain with a taper all around. He totally left out the tapper. You are going to want to get your hair cut down to a 1.5. A 1.5 is an attachment for the clippers. It’s a guard to make sure you cut no lower than that 1.5 length. If you have course hair, 2.0 guard if you are a medium haired waver, and a 3 guard for our straight-haired wavers. The curl length differs on the waver, because each texture has its own curl length. Some people say medium hair is the best, but you must be happy with what you have. Like the great J-Cole said in his song “Love Yourz” “It will always be something that looks better, but you will never be happy until you love yours”. As a kid people would act like course hair was a curse or a you had bad hair. Now I embrace my hair because of all the benefits that comes with it.  Every texture has its benefits and you have love yours.

Once you find a trusty barber stick with them. The first month of the wave process is about maximizing your hair health and eight angle brush strokes. I would literlly brush my hair for 5 hours each day. Obviously not at one time, but hour sessions set at certain times through-out my day. I personally like setting alarms, so I don’t forget. This is a tool that waving had imbeded in my brain to this day. It won’t be easy but finding your eight angles will be tough. You will need to get in a mirror because it varies from person to person. By blind brushing you are causing forks. Just like in life if you don’t pay attention to what you’re doing you will cause problems for your-self down the road.
