The 360 Wave Process and The Life & Lessons of A Waver Pt.3

Brushing is the MOST important thing in the 360 process. When I was younger, I didn’t get how important this was. I would brush my hair for an hour one time and expect results right after. You are training your hair to lay down and to flow in same direction. It is critical to brush your hair every day faithfully for three hours or more or you won’t see progress as soon as you should. The time you spend brushing is like anything else in like with consistency you will be successful in the 360 waves process. If you read every day you will become a good reader and it is the same with brushing. I wish people would force consistency in kids head. It seems to be the key to like.

Next is washing your hair two or three times a week and taking your supplements for healthy hair. I only recommend two and three time weekly if you are physically active or if it’s the summer and you are just sweating a lot. For washing your hair, you will want to use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. It won’t strip you of your natural oils and will have your hair looking fresh and clean but non-natural products will strip you of your natural oils and your hair will fall out eventually. I have personally experienced thinning hair because how rough I treated my hair. And it wasn’t until I was doing it every and seen how much natural products helped my hair. I couldn’t believe I ever used anything but it. To have dry lifeless hair is never good, so using natural products will stop and sometimes revive damages hair.

Like in a workout you can over-do it. Washing your hair to much will strip you of your natural oils. So I only recommend 3 times max. None of these washes should be consecutive days. They should he spaced out to every other day. You can never brush too much unless you have a low cut and you are using a hard brush. It might scab you up or just make your head tinder to the touch and you won’t be able to brush the next day. Consistency will get results, not overdoing something so hard you don’t want to do it again.

Next after you wash your hair you want to rag up. Ragging up is another word for putting your durag’s on. The variety I durags is crazy. I feel like whichever durag you pick (pink, army, or orange) all describes your personality. I don’t know where I fall because I have over 100 durags, does that mean I have over a hundred personalities? I think not, but it does have a way of expressing its self with-out the waver even saying anything. Whatever king of rag you get make sure its silky. Put on your silky durag so your hair can adapt to what’s on it. If you put a cotton durag on your hair is likely to look dry out faster. When you use the silky durag your hair will look smooth, silky, and shiny reflecting what’s on it. You can see the diffrence in someone who has used a cotton durag and someone who used a silk one because one looks dry and the other looks soft and silky. Although durags don’t get you waves it is critical you have at least one. A durag will help save and maintain the progress you made brushing.
